About HomeLink Health
A community-driven nonprofit helping patients in the Rockbridge area recover safely, with dignity and the support they deserve.
HomeLink Health exists to help patients recover safely at home by improving access to medical equipment, home-safety support, and transportation assistance in the Rockbridge area of Virginia.
Who We Serve
HomeLink Health supports individuals in the Rockbridge area who need medical equipment, home-safety support, or transportation assistance but face financial or logistical barriers to accessing these resources.
Many of the people we serve are transitioning home after a stay in a hospital, nursing facility, or rehabilitation center. However, our services are not limited to post-discharge situations. We also assist individuals facing other health, mobility, or recovery-related circumstances — anyone who needs help creating a safer environment at home.
What We Provide
HomeLink Health provides access to a wide range of medical equipment, recovery essentials, home-safety items, and ride vouchers for local residents facing financial or transportation barriers.
This may include walkers, wheelchairs, canes, crutches, shower chairs, transfer benches, raised toilet seats, grab bars, non-slip mats, reacher tools, portable ramps, bed rails, and many other items that make daily life safer and more manageable at home.
We also help connect individuals with transportation support for medical appointments, therapy sessions, and other essential healthcare needs.

Why It Matters
Many individuals lack access to the resources they need to recover safely or manage daily life with dignity and independence. Even when some medical equipment is partially covered through insurance, many essential support items and transportation needs remain unaffordable or inaccessible.
Without proper equipment at home, the risk of falls, injuries, and delayed recovery increases significantly. Without reliable transportation, patients miss critical follow-up appointments and therapy sessions that are essential to their healing.
HomeLink Health exists to close that gap — to make sure that where a person lives and what they can afford doesn't determine whether they can recover safely.
Meet our Founder and Director

Ryan Good is the Founder and Director of HomeLink Health. A sophomore at Washington and Lee University from Richmond, Virginia, he is pursuing a double major in Business Administration and Politics, while competing on the university's Varsity Tennis team.
His commitment to healthcare access grew through personal experience and dedicated service. After witnessing the challenges older adults face — including within his own family — Ryan became deeply aware of the barriers patients encounter after leaving the hospital, particularly when trying to access transportation, medical equipment, and recovery support.
Through an internship with Ronald McDonald House Charities in Richmond and volunteer work at Carilion Clinic, Ryan saw firsthand how difficult it can be for patients and families to navigate the resources they need. Those experiences inspired him to create HomeLink Health — a nonprofit focused on helping patients recover safely at home by connecting them with essential equipment and local support services.
